Alexander new Voice of the Osprey

Georgia Tech baseball broadcaster will deliver all Osprey games live on ESPN Montana 102.9 FM
April 2, 2014

MISSOULA, MONT. - The Missoula Osprey announced today the addition of Nolan Alexander as the new "Voice of the Osprey." Alexander will also fill the role of media relations coordinator upon his arrival to Missoula in early June.

Alexander comes to the Osprey after calling over 200 baseball games for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets over the past four years on WREK Atlanta, a station where he also serves as sports director.

In addition to covering Georgia Tech baseball, Alexander has appeared on Sirius/XM satellite radio providing coverage of both the 2012 and 2013 ACC Baseball Tournaments. Alexander served as the lead broadcaster for the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod Baseball League during the summer of 2012. He also adds play-by-play experience of Georgia Tech men's and women's basketball on ESPN3 and play-by-play of high school football on WDUN in Gainesville, GA.

Alexander will call every Osprey game, both home and away this season on the O's radio nest, ESPN Montana 102.9 FM and online at MissoulaOsprey.com. He will also serve as an in-season contact for the media, contribute to the Osprey's official website and restart their blog, "Bird Droppings."

"I am very impressed with not only the first-class Osprey organization, but the city of Missoula," said Alexander. "I am truly thankful for the opportunity to join the Osprey in June and look forward to living in the city and beginning relationships with the clubs dedicated fan base."

Alexander takes over a role held by Kyle Cooper in 2013 and becomes just the fourth person to call Osprey baseball in the last twelve years.

"Nolan has an outstanding track record and we welcome him to the Osprey family," said Osprey Vice President/General Manager Jeff Griffin. "He is a quality individual, who is driven to deliver an excellent broadcast. I look forward to him adding his own flare to Osprey baseball this summer."

Alexander will make his professional baseball radio debut when the O's open on the road on June 16 against the Helena Brewers. The Osprey home opener is set for June 19 against the Great Falls Voyagers. Packaged tickets can be purchased at the MSO Hub Office, located at 140 N. Higgins Ave, by phone at (406) 543-3300 and online at MissoulaOsprey.com.
