(Volcanoes Stadium - Keizer, Oregon) - Canadians 3B Trevor Schwecke went 5-for-6 with three RBI while C Philip Clarke in just his second professional game went 4-for-6 with a home run to help pace Vancouver to a 16-9 victory over the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes on Saturday night. the win snapped a five-game losing streak for the C's as they now head home to face North Division rival Everett.
Vancouver plated three in the top of the 1st inning of Salem-Keizer starter RHP Luis Moreno and then struck for eight more runs off the right-hander in the top of the 2nd inning as the Canadians built up an 11-0 lead early. Moreno would give up 12 hits, 11 runs and nine of those earned.
Salem's offense got a charge from RF Franklin Labour who finished a double shy of the cycle with his 11th home run of the season coming off LHP Juan Diaz in the bottom of the 5th inning. 1B Tyler Flores also hit a home run in the bottom of the 6th inning off Canadians reliever LHP Nicolas Medina as the Volcanoes scored nine in Saturday's loss.
