(Great Falls, MT) – June. 9, 2020 –While Great Falls and 190 cities across the country wait to see if baseball will return this summer, the Voyagers are excited to announce a new summer of fun at the ballpark. With the Covid-19 pandemic, these have been challenging times for our community and the Voyagers know it is our job to bring family friendly fun to our community no matter the challenge. The Voyagers season was scheduled to begin on June 19th in Billings, MT, and while we still wait for an official cancellation, the honest truth is we find it very hard to believe there will be professional baseball in Montana this summer; if that changes at any moment our staff will get the stadium ready for the return of Voyagers baseball.

To all Voyager season ticket holders and sponsors; we are working diligently to contact everyone as quickly as we can but feel free to reach us at any time. All 2020 agreements can immediately be rolled over to the 2021 season or you will also have the option for full refunds if that better suits your current needs. To those that have already agreed to roll over your investment in our team for the 2021 season we could not be more thankful; even with the new save summer event schedule, 21 months with no baseball will come at an incredible financial loss to our business operations. With that we could not be more proud of the support we have already received in the last few weeks. The Voyagers take great pride in being one of the last locally owned teams in Minor League Baseball and it is the support we receive from the community that has allowed us to guarantee jobs for all of our full time employees and even offer some hours to our long standing seasonal staff this summer even in these difficult times.

Later this week the Voyagers will announce our new 2020 event schedule. We hope the community is excited to see a wide range of events from family movie nights to a kickball league, legion baseball, Mister Sister Trivia nights and much more. We need to thank the Cascade County Health Department for helping us create an event plan that will help keep all our patrons and community safe this summer, without their assistance and resources this would not be possible. Lastly, a huge thank you to our board of directors and specifically our CEO Vinney Purpura whose dedication to baseball and community is second to no one and without their support this summer would not be possible. Please follow our social media or website www.gfvoyagers.com to see the official event schedule and keep up to date with any additions and changes. We look forward to saving summer together at Centene Stadium.

Sincerely,

Scott Reasoner
