DAYTON, OH – Tuesday’s series debut at Day Air Ballpark between the Great Lakes Loons and the Dayton Dragons has been postponed, due to unplayable field conditions as a result of significant rainfall in the Dayton area. The game is planned to be made up as part of a doubleheader on Wednesday, July 14 with first pitch in game one scheduled for 6:05 P.M. EDT at Day Air Ballpark. In accordance to Minor League Baseball guidelines, both games will be seven-inning games.

After dropping nine of their first ten games to the Dragons, the Loons are 3-9 against Dayton this year. Great Lakes surrendered five of six games to begin the 2021 season in May at Dow Diamond, then lost four of six in their next and most recent series against the Dragons at Day Air Ballpark in mid-June. The Loons enter Wednesday’s doubleheader trailing Dayton 2 1/2 games out of first place in the High-A Central’s East Division.

Pregame coverage begins on ESPN 100.9 FM at 5:35 P.M. EDT with the Loons On-Deck Circle, Built by Three Rivers, first pitch at 6:05 from Day Air Ballpark.

The Great Lakes Loons have been the Single-A partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers since the team’s inception in 2007. Dow Diamond serves as the team’s home and also houses the Michigan Baseball Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity, and ESPN 100.9-FM.
