Tacoma, WA - Major League rehabber Mitch Haniger collected two RBI with a towering stand-up triple in his first rehab appearance with Tacoma, but the Rainiers had their season-high five-game winning streak snapped by the Salt Lake Bees on Tuesday, 6-3.
After Kelby Tomlinson drove in the first run of the game with an RBI single, Haniger lifted his triple to straightaway center field, one-hopping off the wall and sending Salt Lake center fielder Brennon Lund crashing into Cheney Stadium's 29-foot wall. The three-bagger scored Chris Mariscal and Tomlinson as Tacoma (58-69) took an early three-run lead in the bottom of the second.
Haniger played the entire game and finished 1-for-4, striking out in his next three at-bats.

The Bees (54-73) knotted the score in the next half inning off Tacoma right-hander Darren McCaughan (0-6). The Downey, CA native took the loss when he was charged with all six Salt Lake runs across the first five frames, collecting four strikeouts.
Catcher Joe Odom collected a hit and a double in the effort. Since being promoted from Double-A Arkansas on August 9, the 27-year-old has slashed .448/.543/.759 in 29 at-bats across his first eight games with Tacoma, collecting three doubles, two home runs and seven RBI over that span.
Ryan Garton relieved McCaughan in the sixth and tossed two innings of hitless ball before Major League rehabber Dan Altavilla took over on the mound in the eighth. The righty pitched a scoreless inning before Gerson Bautista spun a 1-2-3 ninth.
In the bottom of the ninth, Tacoma brought the potential tying run to the plate but Jaycob Brugman struck out with two runners on to end the contest.
The Rainiers will play for a series win against Salt Lake in a rubber match on Wednesday at Cheney Stadium. Southpaw Anthony Misiewicz (7-6, 5.95) will get the nod from manager Daren Brown for a 7:05 p.m. PDT start.
