CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Lookouts secured their third straight series win with a, 6-1, win over the Tennessee Smokies on Sunday afternoon from AT&T Field.

Chattanooga (13-8) took advantage of the long ball as Matt McLain had a pair of home runs and Isiah Gilliam put one over the right-field wall.

McLain finished the game 2-for-4 with his two homers and four RBIs. Gilliam also finished 2-for-4 with his home run and an RBI as the only Lookouts with multiple hits.

Tennessee (10-10) got on the board first with a Harrison Wenson solo shot in the third. The Lookouts quickly answered with McLain's first home run of the day to take a one-run advantage.

The score remained that way until the bottom f the sixth when Gilliam added his home run to the board and gave Chattanooga the, 3-1, lead.

The hosts added on three more insurance runs in the eighth with a TJ Hopkins RBI double, and McLain’s second home run of the game to give the Lookouts the, 6-1, edge they would hold for the rest of the game.

Eduardo Salazar (2-2) got the start and win on the bump for Chattanooga pitching five innings allowing just one run on three hits, a pair of walks, and five strikeouts. Stevie Branche and Matt Pidich both picked up their first holds of the season. Branche went two scoreless innings allowing three walks while striking out two. Pidich had a strikeout in his inning of work and Julio Pinto pitched the ninth allowing just a hit and struck out a batter.

Levi Jordan paced the Smokie offense with a 2-for-4 contest with a double. Anderson Espinoza was tagged with the loss going the first four innings allowing two runs on three hits, no walks and fanned four batters.

The Lookouts are back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Rocket City for a six-game set and back in town on Tuesday, May 10th, as they play host to the Mississippi Braves for six games.
