BIG MOMENTS

  • 3rd Inning: Both teams got a run. Vermont's came on a solo homer for Jordan Diaz. Aberdeen had a leadoff single for Maverick Handley. Handley scored after the 'Birds loaded the bases and Andrew Daschbach walked him in. 
  • Top of the 7th: Five hits scored five runs for Vermont. The runs were highlighted by two run homers from Kyle McCann and Kevin Richards. Aberdeen trailed 6-1 after eight.

NEWS AND NOTES
  • Aberdeen has given up fourteen runs in two games, the most combined runs over a two day span this season.
  • Kyle Stowers became the first IronBird to walk three times in a game, doing so on three full-count at Bats
