READING, PA - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays) rallied late but came up short in an 8-6 loss to the Reading Fightin Phils (Phillies) Wednesday night at FirstEnergy Stadium.

The R-Phils put up three runs in the bottom of the second to take a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Back-to-back one-out singles set up a two-RBI triple from Arquimedes Gamboa, who later scored on Raul Rivas' single to right field.
After two runs scored for Reading in the fifth to make it 5-0, the 'Cats got three in the top of the sixth. With the sacks full and two outs, Riley Adams hit his second triple of the season to clear the bases and make it 5-3.
The teams traded runs in the bottom of the sixth and the top of the seventh, but the R-Phils went up 8-4 with a pair after the stretch.
A two-run ninth made things interesting. Brock Lundquist walked, Andres Sotillo singled and Vinny Capra was issued a free pass to load the bases. A two-out, two-RBI single from Nash Knight made it 8-6 and an infield knock for Logan Warmoth put the go-ahead run aboard, but the 'Cats left them loaded and fell 8-6.
