M-Braves Announce 2019 Schedule and 15th Season at Trustmark Park

The 2019 home opener is slated for Wednesday, April 10 against the Mobile BayBears.

PEARL, MS - In partnership with the Southern League, the Mississippi Braves, Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves are pleased to announce the 2019 schedule, marking the 15th season of Braves baseball at Trustmark Park. The 2019 home schedule begins on Wednesday, April 10 with a five-game homestand against the Mobile BayBears. The season opens on the road at Tennessee during a five-game series, April 4-8. 

The 2019 season features 70 games at Trustmark Park and 70 games on the road during the 140-game regular season. The M-Braves will once again play Pensacola most often next season with 23 games scheduled between the clubs. Mississippi will face division rivals Biloxi and Jacksonville 21 times each. The M-Braves will be home on several holidays, including Independence Day, Fathers Day and Labor Day. The club will host a combined 22 home dates on Friday's and Saturday's in 2019. 

After the opening five-game homestand, the M-Braves travel to East Tennessee once again to play the Chattanooga Lookouts. The Braves wrap up the month of April with a homestand that includes Easter Sunday against Montgomery, along with a five-game trip to Mobile.

In May, the Braves host Jacksonville and Mobile for the first of two 10-game homestands, May 1-10, which includes Cinco de Mayo and National Star Wars Day. Mississippi then travels to Alabama for a 10-game road swing to Montgomery and Birmingham. The month of May concludes with a Memorial Day weekend five-game homestand against Jacksonville and then a road trip to Pensacola. 

June starts with the conclusion of a five-game series at Pensacola before the M-Braves close out of the first half with 10 of the final 15 games at Trustmark Park including Fathers Day. FIve-game homestands with Biloxi and Mobile are sandwiched between a five-game road trip to Jackson, TN. 

The 2019 Southern League All-Star Game will be played at Biloxi's MGM Park on Tuesday, July 18. 

After the three-day Southern League All-Star Break June 17-19, the M-Braves will play a five-game series in Biloxi for the first time in 2019. The M-Braves then return to Trustmark Park to open the second-half home slate with a five-game set against Jackson, TN. The M-Braves will play a quick three-game series at Pensacola, July 1-3 before returning home for the annual Independence Day Game and Celebration on July 4. That series, for the second straight year, will be against our intrastate rival Biloxi Shuckers in a six-game set. 

The Braves round out the month of July with trips to Jacksonville, Jackson, TN, and one final trip to Mobile before the club relocates to Madison, AL in 2020. Trustmark Park also hosts Pensacola for four games between those trips to Florida and Tennessee before wrapping up the month with the back-leg of a 10-game road trip in Mobile. 

The Braves are home for 18 home dates in August, including a five-game homestand before school starts back against the Tennessee Smokies. The Braves travel to Jacksonville for five games before returning for the second 10-game homestand against Birmingham and Pensacola. The final road series of the season will be a five-game set at Biloxi and the season will conclude at home in 2019 on Labor Day, capping a five-game homestand against Chattanooga.
