The loss sends Rome three games back of Asheville and Augusta in the division race.
Rome got on the board in the 1st inning when
Trailing 3-1 the Braves bats got going against the Greensboro bullpen in the 7th inning.
Rome took the lead back in the Top of the 8th with a two out rally.
The advantage was short lived as the first four Hoppers reached on hits in the Bottom of the 8th and eventually put the game away with a 6-4 win.
Owenby was 2-4 with a double and a run scored. Ball went 2-4 with a double and an RBI. Morales had a 2-4 night with a double and a run scored. His single in the 5th inning was his first hit as a Rome Brave. Venter was 1-4 with an RBI.
Rangel received a no-decision for his work. He went 5 innings and allowed three runs on six hits. He struck out five and walked two.
Rome and Greensboro conclude their four game set Thursday evening at First National Bank Field. First pitch of Game 4 is scheduled for 7 pm. The Braves are expected to start LHP
