VISALIA, CA-Rawhide win comeback fashion. Visalia scored three runs in the sixth inning to win 4-3. Justin Vernia earned the win after pitching six innings to start the game. He gave up three runs of four hits. Two of those four hits were homeruns, but he did strike out a career-tying high seven batters.
Heath Quinn drove in the first run of the game when he doubled to left field and Kyle McPherson scored. The Rawhide answered back in the second when Jancarlos Cintron hit a homerun off the first pitch he saw from Giants starter Matt Frisbee . That ended the 25-inning scoreless streak for Frisbee.
Giants retook the lead in the third when David Villar had a homerun of his own. Fabian Pena hit a solo shot in the fourth to give the Giants the 3-1 lead. That was the last run scored by San Jose.
Eduardo Diaz singled to left field to lead off the sixth inning for the Rawhide. He scored off an RBI double by Alek Thomas . Luis Alejandro Basabe tied up the game by singling to left field, which allowed Thomas to score from second. Basabe scored the winning run when Cintron hit a double down the left field line. That was Cintron's second RBI of the night.
Frisbee earned the loss and is now 8-8 on the season. Vernia earned his sixth win for the Rawhide. Breckin Williams earned his 14th save of the season after retiring the three batters he faced in the ninth inning.
