Shorebirds Present Donation To BBBS of the Eastern Shore

SALISBURY, Md. -- The Delmarva Shorebirds are proud to announce the results from the 2018 Star Wars Night Jersey Auction that benefited Big Brothers, Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore, as the team presented a check for $4,424.
"As a new promotional night this year, we are glad that Shorebirds fans really enjoyed Star Wars Night on May 4th and that it could help a great organization in Big Brothers, Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore," Shorebirds general manager Chris Bitters said. "Thank you to our fans who showed their generous support with this unique jersey auction."
Star Wars Night was held on Friday, May 4th at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium when the Delmarva Shorebirds faced the Augusta GreenJackets. Shorebirds players and coaches wore specialty Storm Trooper style Star Wars jerseys that were auctioned off during the game.
Delmarva has more special jersey nights scheduled in 2018, including a Christmas in July jersey auction on Sunday, July 22nd, an Orange Friday jersey auction on August 17th, and a Scrapple jersey auction on Saturday, August 18th when the team will change to the Delmarva Scrapple for the night.
