LANSING, Mich. -- The Beloit Sky Carp dropped their fifth straight game Sunday afternoon in Lansing, falling 5-4 to Great Lakes in the finale of the six-game series between the two teams.

The Sky Carp took a 3-0 lead with three runs in the top of the fourth inning. Tanner Allen singled home Cody Morissette with the game's first run, and after a wild pitch plated Victor Mesa Jr., a grounder by Ynmanol Marinez plated Will Banfield with the third run.

The Loons bounced back with four runs of their own in the bottom of the fifth inning, but Morissette struck for his third home run of the season in the seventh to knot the game back up at 4-4.

Great Lakes scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth on an RBI double by Israel Alcantara for the game's critical hit.

Sean Reynolds (0-1) took the loss after allowing the eighth-inning tally. Brady Puckett was terrific out of the bullpen, hurling two perfect innings in relief.

The Sky Carp will take Monday off before traveling to Grand Rapids, Mich., to take on West Michigan for the next six games.
