BELOIT, WI - The Beloit Snappers and Wisconsin Timber Rattlers game was suspended on Wednesday night in the bottom of the fourth with two outs and the Snappers leading 3-2. The date/time for action to be resumed is to be determined.

Cobie Vance would get the hitting and scoring started for Beloit tonight. In his first start in the leadoff spot, Vance would extend his 11-game on-base streak to twelve in style. Leading off the bottom of the first, Vance would hit a moon shot that would clear the left field wall and propel the Snappers to an early 1-0 lead.
The Snappers would not let off the gas pedal after the Vance solo shot, loading the bases with only one out and applying some early pressure against Timber Rattlers southpaw starter Aaron Ashby.
However, Ashby would settle down to earn a strikeout and get out of the jam with no further damage after a hard hit line drive by Snappers Nick Osborne that was caught in left field.
In the second, both teams would get the bats going starting with Wisconsin. The Timber Rattlers would plate 2 runs off of a knuckler just over Snappers second baseman Ryan Gridley's head that would plate two runs and get Wisconsin in the scoring column and the lead.
Beloit would answer right back though with two of their own in the bottom half of the inning. Gridley would earn himself a leadoff walk and then Vance's big night would continue, as he smoked a double down the left field line allowing Gridley to score from second base.
One batter later, Chase Calabuig would collect his second hit of the game singling up the middle and plating Vance. Vance's run would mark the second run of the inning and give Beloit the lead again 3-2 after 2 complete.
The Snappers and the Timber Rattlers would then get through the fourth inning with 2 outs before the flood gates would open, ultimately suspending the game tonight. The game will resume at a date to be determined.
