Seven SL Players Named to Futures Game

Earlier today, seven Southern League players were named to the 2018 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game. Four Southern Leaguers will don the Stars and Stripes for Team USA, while a trio of SL standouts will represent their countries as members of the World Team during Major League Baseball's annual top prospect

Earlier today, seven Southern League players were named to the 2018 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game. Four Southern Leaguers will don the Stars and Stripes for Team USA, while a trio of SL standouts will represent their countries as members of the World Team during Major League Baseball's annual top prospect showcase.
The Southern League's seven selections are the third most in Minor League Baseball. Both the Eastern League and Texas League will be sending eight players to Washington DC later this month.
Two infielders, one outfielder, and four pitchers were selected from Southern League squads including five players from four North Division teams. The Birmingham Barons are the lone Southern League team with more than one representative on the initial roster.
