Tigers Get Key Stedler Division Win Over Lowell

Norwich, CT - Carson Lance (Win, 4-3) pitched six scoreless innings, and the Connecticut Tigers (30-31) got a 3-1 win over the Lowell Spinners (33-29). Lance surrendered two hits with six strikeouts to three walks in the scoreless outing.
There were no runs scored in the contest until the seventh inning. New York-Penn League All-Star  Eliezer Alfonzo, delivered a lead-off single off of Yasel Santana (Loss, 1-4).
Jose King followed with a single as the next batter in the inning, and brought home Alfonzo on a throwing error that went into the stands. King finished the game 2-for-4 with a single, a triple and a run scored.
Moises Nunez extended the lead for Connecticut when he drove in King on an RBI double down the left-field line. After Nunez moved to third, he came home to score on a wild pitch by Santana. He finished 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
The Spinners threatened in the ninth by loading the bases against Ted Stuka (Save, 1). After Will Dalton brought in a run on an RBI groundout to make it 3-1, Kingston Liniak made a diving catch to keep the contest at 3-1 while holding the runners at second and third.
Stuka got the final out of the contest on a fly out by Marino Campana . Stuka pitched one inning with one run on one hit and two walks.
