INDIANAPOLIS - While the cold weather suggests otherwise, the start of baseball season in downtown Indianapolis is rounding third base and headed for home. Highlights on the Tribe's 70-game schedule include home games on Easter, Mother's Day and Independence Day, three Prospects Nights, five Bark in the Park games, Top Gun Night, an appearance by the ZOOperstars! on Faith & Fellowship Night, and Fan Appreciation Night to close out the regular season.
Opening Night's 60 Degree Weather Guarantee is back at Victory Field. If the temperature is below 60 degrees at first pitch on Thursday, April 9, each fan in attendance gets a ticket to another April game of their choice. A spectacular fireworks show concludes the Opening Night festivities.
"The 60 Degree Weather Guarantee has created buzz and excitement amongst our fans for Opening Night on an annual basis, and it's just the first of many fun promotions we have scheduled throughout the season," said Indians President and General Manager Randy Lewandowski. "Our team takes pride in developing new promotions every year and catering to Tribe fans of all ages."
The schedule features numerous character appearances and pop culture nights, ranging from popular childhood heroes to an appearance by Pittsburgh's Pirate Parrot on the final Prospects Night. Movie and TV character appearances this season feature: Princess Days, Daniel Tiger & Katerina Kittycat, PAW Patrol, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Shimmer & Shine, PJ Masks, Stranger Things Night, Captain America and Thomas the Tank Engine.
Daily Deals are back in 2020, with Dollar Menu Nights moving from Mondays to Tuesday night home games.
