The Rattlers started the series hot, winning the first three games of the series: a 14-11 thriller on Tuesday, 10-4 on Wednesday, and hanging on to win 8-5 on Thursday. The Kernels pulled ahead late in Friday’s 8-3 loss, and the 7-6 loss on Saturday was the final game of the series due to rain that canceled Sunday’s scheduled series finale.
The Rattlers now have a record of 19-9 (.679) in road games this season, which ties for the fewest road losses in minor league baseball in 2026.
Wisconsin had a solid week at the plate, putting up a .271/.376/.506 slash line through the five-game span. The team had ten homers and ten doubles to make extra-base hits a key to the Rattlers offense last week in Cedar Rapids.
In the series opener, the Rattlers hit three two-run home runs and four doubles. Ten different Rattlers scored a run in the barnburner, and erased the Kernels 11-9 lead by scoring three in the seventh and two in the eighth.
Andrew Fischer’s two-run home run in the top of the first on Tuesday was the first of his three-homer week. The reigning Brewers Minor League Player of the Month batted 7-for-24 with seven RBI and seven runs. Eighteen home runs on the season make Fischer the Rattler’s all-time single season leader since the team reclassified to High-A in 2021. His home run stat line now leads all High-A players in Minor League Baseball. Fischer had a base hit in each game last week, extending his hitting streak to ten games and has lengthened his on-base streak to 25 games.

Braylon Owens was awarded Brewers Minor League pitcher of the Month, and followed it up by earning his second win of the season in Wednesday’s game. Owens pitched five innings and allowed one earned run with two strikeouts. Owens has now pitched at least five innings in his last four road starts, and in six of his last seven overall starts.
Outfielder Josh Adamczewski harvested plenty of offense against Kernel pitching. In the Wednesday win, he went 3-for-5 with a home run, and had his second five RBI game this season. Adamczewski stayed hot on Thursday, with one more home run with four RBI, driving in half the Rattler runs for a second straight day. Adamczewski slashed .438/.500/.938 in Cedar Rapids in his four games during the series. The Brewers No. 10 prospect also made some solid plays in left field, with his sixth outfield assist of the season on Wednesday, and a diving catch on Thursday.

Adamczewski’s two-RBI single in the first inning on Thursday came after Braylon Payne, Luis Peña and Fischer drew three-consecutive walks. The big first inning was topped off by a two-RBI sacrifice fly from Daniel Dickinson.

That gave a cushion for starting pitcher Josh Knoth and relief pitcher Quinton Low. Low earned his fourth win of the season in his 1⅓ IP, and has been the winning pitcher in three consecutive appearances.
Yerlin Rodriguez earned the win on Tuesday, striking out a team leading six batters in the series over two appearances. Rodriguez pitched two crucial scoreless innings on Tuesday and set the table for Ayendy Bravo, who earned his first High-A save in two scoreless, hitless innings. The nineteen year old pitcher struck out two Kernels and left the tying run at the plate when the series opener ended.
Ethan Dorchies gave the Rattlers length on Friday, pitching 5⅓ innings with five strikeouts and allowing just one unearned run. Relief pitcher Jose Nova returned to the mound for the first time since May 16th, and struck out five across two scoreless appearances.
At the plate, Fischer and Adamczewski were complimented by a bounty of offense from other Rattler bats. Josiah Ragsdale went 5-for-8 with three runs, two RBI and two stolen bases while reaching base at a .727 rate. Eric Bitonti hit two home runs and Dickinson hit two doubles. Both Bitonti and Dickinson had five RBI in the series. Luis Castillo hit two home runs and scored four runs. Payne returned to the lineup to reach base in each of three games played, scoring four runs and hitting a leadoff homer on the second pitch of the game in Saturday’s loss. Tayden Hall went 3-for-9 with two RBI while Marco Dinges scored five runs and drove in a pair.
