Chiefs topple Tides in Saturday matinee

The Syracuse Chiefs used a four-run sixth inning to topple the Tides 6-1 Saturday afternoon at NBT Bank Stadium. 

The Syracuse Chiefs used a four-run sixth inning to topple the Tides 6-1 Saturday afternoon at NBT Bank Stadium. 

The score was knotted at 1-1 entering the sixth frame, but the Chiefs blew the game open with a four-run frame against Norfolk starter Jayson Aquino (0-2) and the bullpen. The big blow of the inning was a bases-clearing double off the bat of Irving Falu. 
Norfolk was limited to three hits in the contest, with DJ Stewart's RBI single the lone run-scoring hit. 
The Tides (4-4) will look for a split of the four-game set on Sunday afternoon, with first pitch set for 1:05.
