RedHawks Unveil 2013 Schedule

OKLAHOMA CITY - Twelve fireworks nights, four outside entertainment acts, and two field trip days highlight the Oklahoma City RedHawks 2013 home schedule.

The RedHawks begin their 16th year at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark on Friday, April 12 against the Memphis Redbirds at 7:05 p.m.

Opening Night will be the first of 12 fireworks nights during the 2013 season, including following every Friday game. The RedHawks will celebrate Independence Day with a game against the Albuquerque Isotopes and post-game fireworks on Wednesday, July 3.

The RedHawks also have holiday home games on Mother's Day (Sunday, May 12), Father's Day (Sunday, June 16), and finish the regular season with a Labor Day matinee on Monday, September 2.

Four popular outside entertainment acts will perform on the following dates:

*Saturday, April 27 vs. New Orleans - ZOOperstars!

*Saturday, June 22 vs. Omaha - BirdZerk!

*Saturday, July 13 vs. New Orleans - ZOOperstars!

*Saturday, August 3 vs. Colorado Springs - OKC Disc Dogs

The RedHawks have also scheduled four special giveaway nights, with details to be released on a later date.

RedHawks field trip days return on Wednesday, May 8 and Tuesday, May 14. Both games will begin at 11:05 a.m. with gates opening at 10 a.m. The RedHawks welcome area summer camps with an 11:05 a.m. game on Tuesday, June 11 as well. Group tickets to any of these three games include a RedHawks hat, a sack lunch, and a PlayBall! program.

College baseball also returns to Bricktown in 2013. The Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowboys will meet during the Bedlam Series, May 11-12. For the ninth straight year, and 14th time overall, Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark will host the Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Tournament over Memorial Day weekend, May 22-26.
