Game Summary: The Oklahoma City Dodgers fought back from an early deficit and hit three home runs in a 9-6 win Tuesday night against the Sugar Land Skeeters at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Sugar Land built a 4-0 lead in the top of the third inning before the Dodgers tallied three runs in the bottom of the frame when Keibert Ruiz hit a RBI single and Steven Souza Jr. followed two a two-run homer. The Skeeters built a 6-3 lead in the top of the fifth inning, but the Dodgers scored three times in the bottom of the inning to tie the game. Andy Burns and DJ Peters hit back-to-back homers — Burns a two-run shot and Peters a solo homer — to tie the game, 6-6. Luke Raley hit a two-run triple to the wall in right field in the sixth inning to put the OKC Dodgers ahead, 8-6. Peters added a bases-loaded walk for a 9-6 advantage as the Dodgers won the six-game series between the teams, 4-2.

Of Note:

-Zach Reks recorded three doubles in the game, becoming the first OKC Dodgers player with three doubles in a game since Kyle Farmer July 13, 2018 at Round Rock. Tuesday also marked the first three-double game of Reks’ career.

-OKC pitcher Justin Bruihl (1-0) was credited with the win in his Triple-A debut Tuesday. He pitched 2.1 scoreless innings, allowing two hits with four strikeouts and no walks. Pitcher Kevin Quackenbush recorded his team-leading fifth save of the season retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth inning. His five saves are tied for second-most in Triple-A West.

-Andy Burns hit a two-run homer to left-center field and DJ Peters followed with a solo shot out to left field as the OKC Dodgers hit back-to-back homers in the fifth inning, marking the sixth time this season the Dodgers hit back-to-back homers and the second time at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in 2021.

-The Dodgers are 9-4 over their last 13 games and won a second consecutive series. The Dodgers beat El Paso, 4-2, in their road series May 27-31 before defeating Sugar Land in the most recent series, 4-2. The series win against the Skeeters was OKC’s first of the season at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Also, with Tuesday’s win, OKC improved to 2-3 in series finales this season and to 1-1 in home series finales.

-Luke Raley hit his team-leading second triple of the season Tuesday and paces the Dodgers with 29 RBI after adding two more Tuesday night. Over his last 10 starts, Raley is 17-for-36 (.472) with four doubles, two triples, four homers, 26 RBI and 14 runs scored.
