Game Summary: The Sugar Land Skeeters scored runs in both the seventh and eighth innings to break a tie and send the Oklahoma City Dodgers to a 6-4 loss Saturday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Skeeters (39-29) connected on five straight hits in the fourth inning as they built a 4-0 lead. The Dodgers (36-33) then scored four straight runs starting with a sacrifice fly from Yoshi Tsutsugo in the fourth inning. Kenneth Betancourt's RBI double cut Sugar Land's lead to 4-2 in the fifth inning. Tsutsugo belted a two-run homer out to center field in the sixth inning to tie the game, 4-4. Sugar Land then scored a run in the seventh inning on a RBI single and added another in the eighth inning on a solo homer as the Skeeters took a 2-1 lead in the series.

Of Note:

-Yoshi Tsutsugo hit a two-run homer out to center field in the sixth inning to tie the game, 4-4, and finished the game with three RBI to tie his season-high mark. He has now reached base safely in 12 straight games with five homers during the stretch, including four homers in his last six starts. Over the last 12 games, Tsutsugo is 14-for-37 (.378) with five homers, a double, 12 RBI and 12 runs scored.

-Matt Davidson finished with three hits for a second straight night as he went 3-for-4 Saturday and scored a run to extend his hitting streak to seven games (11x24, 4 HR). He entered the game leading all Triple-A players in homers, RBI, SLG, OPS, extra-base hits and total bases since June 29.

-Keibert Ruiz doubled and scored a run Saturday night and has now hit safely in a season-best eight straight games, going 14-for-35 (.400) during the streak with four homers, four doubles and 11 RBI. He has now reached base in 20 of his last 21 starts.

-Kenneth Betancourt connected on his first Triple-A hit — a RBI double — in the fifth inning. Betancourt made his first Triple-A start Saturday after making pinch-hit appearance in three previous games for OKC.

-With another homer Saturday night, the Dodgers have now homered in 10 straight games (20 HR) and in 14 of the last 15 games (31 HR). Their current stretch of consecutive games with a homer ties their season-best 10-game streak June 13-24…The solo homer allowed by OKC in the eighth inning Saturday was the first allowed by the team in four games and the 21 homers allowed by the Dodgers so far in July are fewest in Triple-A West.

-Dodgers pitchers racked up 11 strikeouts Saturday for their fourth straight double-digit strikeout game and their seventh double-digit strikeout total in the last eight games…Dodgers pitchers held Sugar Land to one walk for a second consecutive night and have only walked four batters over the first three games of the series.
