Memphis, Tenn. - The Oklahoma City Dodgers fell behind early for the second straight night and were held to one hit through seven shutout innings by Memphis Redbirds starting pitcher Alex Reyes in a 7-4 loss Thursday night at AutoZone Park.
For the second straight night, the Dodgers fell behind, 3-0, in the first inning and went on to drop their third game in the four-game series against the Redbirds.

They faced off against the St. Louis Cardinals' No. 1 prospect Reyes, who was making a rehab start on his way back from Tommy John surgery that forced him to miss the entire 2017 season.
Reyes pitched seven shutout innings, holding the Dodgers to one single and one walk with 13 strikeouts - tying the Dodgers season high.
He retired 15 straight Dodgers after Jacob Scavuzzo's single led off the third inning, including nine consecutive strikeouts at one point between the third and sixth inning.
Meanwhile, Oscar Mercado led off the game for Memphis with a single and scored on a one-out RBI single by Luke Voit. Back-to-back RBI doubles by Wilfredo Tovar and Adolis Garcia with two outs later in the inning extended the Redbirds' lead to 3-0 in the first inning.
The Redbirds (29-19) tacked on a couple of runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Randy Arozarena led off for Memphis with a double and later scored on a two-out RBI single by Mercado to right field. Max Schrock followed with a RBI single to bring home Mercado for a 5-0 lead.
Reyes exited the game after seven innings on the mound and the Dodgers' offense was able to break through the shutout against Redbirds reliever Sean Gilmartin, scoring four runs.
Jake Peter led off the eighth inning with a single and advanced to second base on a passed ball, as he extended his season-high hit streak to 10 games. Kyle Garlick followed with a RBI double on a fly ball to center field to score Peter for the Dodgers' first run of the night on the team's third hit of the game.
Later with one out, Rocky Gale walked to put two runners on base. Then with two outs, Breyvic Valera drilled a fly ball out to left field for a three-run homer to cut Memphis' lead to one run in the eighth inning, 5-4.
Valera homered in a third straight game and moved into a tie with Kyle Garlick for the team lead with six homers this season.
But that would be the closest the Dodgers (28-16) would get to Memphis on the scoreboard.
With two outs, Mercado swung on the first pitch he saw in the bottom of the eighth inning, connecting on a two-run single to boost the Redbirds' lead to 7-4.
Dodgers starting pitcher Dennis Santana (1-1) was charged with the loss in his second Triple-A start. He allowed three runs in the first inning, then kept Memphis off the scoreboard the next four frames. He allowed seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts.
Reyes (1-0) picked up the win for the Redbirds. Preston Guilmet entered the game with two outs in the top of the eighth inning and retired all four batters he faced for his ninth save of the season for Memphis.
The Redbirds outhit OKC, 14-4, in the game as the Dodgers fell to 8-12 on the road this season and have now lost back-to-back road games, as well as six of their last seven, eight of their last 11 and 10 of their last 13 road games.
The Dodgers continue their road trip and open a five-game series against the Nashville Sounds at 6:35 p.m. Friday at First Tennessee Park.
