Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Dodgers swept both games of a doubleheader against the New Orleans Baby Cakes Tuesday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, winning the first game, 5-4, in 10 innings and winning the second game, 5-2.
With the wins, the Dodgers (51-41) took a 2-1 lead in the five-game series between the teams and have now won five of their last six games overall.

The Dodgers scored the winning run in the top of the 10th inning of Game 1. Oklahoma City played as the visiting team in the first game, as the teams were making up a rainout from July 2 in New Orleans.
Tim Locastro started the 10th inning on second base per the new extra-inning rules in Minor League Baseball this season. He advanced to third base when Ramos flied out and scored on a sacrifice bunt by Angelo Mora for a 5-4 Dodgers advantage.
Dodgers reliever Cory Copping then entered the game to pitch the bottom of the 10th inning and retired the side in order to seal the win and pick up his first save with Oklahoma City.
Prior to the 10th inning, New Orleans had been able to respond in the bottom of each inning in which the Dodgers scored.
Oklahoma City broke through a 0-0 tie in the fourth inning of the first game with two outs. Connor Joe hit a double into right field. Kyle Garlick came up to bat next and hit a two-run homer out of the ballpark and into the alley beyond left field for a 2-0 Dodgers lead. The home run was Garlick's team-leading 13th homer of the season.
Dodgers starting pitcher Daniel Corcino held the Baby Cakes without a hit until Rafael Ortega singled into right field to lead off the fourth inning. New Orleans went on to tie the game, 2-2, in the frame when Cristhian Adames hit a RBI single and Peter Mooney followed with a RBI groundout.
The Dodgers put the go-ahead run at third base in the top of the seventh inning, but were unable to score. Henry Ramos tripled into left field with two outs. Alex Verdugo followed with a walk before Donovan Solano struck out to end the inning.
The game was tied, 2-2, through seven innings, forcing extra innings in the first of two scheduled seven-inning contests.
The teams then exchanged runs in each of the next two innings.
Jake Peter started the eighth inning on second base. He advanced to third base on a wild pitch and scored on a sacrifice fly by Joe for a 3-2 Dodgers lead.
The Baby Cakes (45-51) came up to bat in the bottom of the inning and a RBI groundout by Austin Dean tied the game, 3-3.
A sacrifice fly by Edwin Ríos in the top of the ninth inning put the Dodgers in front again, 4-3.
But New Orleans answered once again in the bottom of the frame. A RBI single by Austin Nola tied the game, 4-4, in the ninth before the Dodgers again took the lead in the top of the 10th with the eventual winning run.
OKC reliever Brian Schlitter (4-1) was credited with the win in the first game, allowing two runs and two hits over 2.0 innings with three walks and two strikeouts. New Orleans reliever Jeff Kinley (1-1) was hit with the loss, allowing three runs over 3.0 innings with two walks.
In Game 2, the Dodgers jumped out to an early lead, marking the eighth straight game in which the Dodgers have scored first.
In the first inning, Joe led off with a single for the Dodgers. He advanced to second base on a wild pitch and then scored when Ríos hit a RBI double into right field for a 1-0 lead.
The Dodgers quickly added four more runs in the second inning.
Ramos led off with a single and scored when Angelo Mora followed with a RBI double into left field. Later with two outs and runners on second and first base, Ríos connected on a two-run double into center field. Kyle Farmer followed and tacked on a RBI single for a 5-0 Oklahoma City advantage.
The Baby Cakes scored two runs in the third inning, including one on an Oklahoma City fielding error and another on a sacrifice fly by J.B. Shuck to cut the Dodgers' lead to 5-2.
Dodgers starting pitcher Zach Neal (2-0) allowed two runs (one earned) and four hits over 5.0 innings for his second win with OKC. He did not issue a walk and recorded two strikeouts.
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Pedro Báez, on a Major League rehab assignment, retired all three batters he faced in the sixth inning. Ariel Hernández allowed two walks in the seventh inning, but kept the Baby Cakes without a hit or run for his first save with the Dodgers.
New Orleans starting pitcher Odrisamer Despaigne (2-3) pitched 5.2 innings and was charged with the loss, allowing five runs and two walks along with 10 hits with four strikeouts.
Oklahoma City improved to 4-4 in doubleheader games this season with the two Tuesday victories.
