St. Paul (62-65) hit back-to-back home runs in the second inning off the bats of John Andreoli and Braden Bishop to open a 2-0 lead.

Left-hander Josh Dye got the spot start for the second time during this series before right-hander Yefri Del Rosario made his second appearance as a Storm Chaser, pitching the third and fourth without giving up a run.

Shortstop Maikel Garcia reached on an infield single in the fourth before stealing his sixth base with Triple-A Omaha. Designated hitter Vinnie Pasquantino reached on a St. Paul fielding error that allowed Garcia to come in and score and cut the deficit to one run.

Right-hander Zach Willeman pitched the fifth and sixth for Omaha, retiring all six batters that he faced with three strikeouts.

In the seventh, right-hander Ryan Weiss tossed a scoreless inning, needing just eight pitches to get through the frame and earn his first win of the season.

The Storm Chasers used a groundout from Pasquantino in the eighth to take the lead, scoring second baseman Iván Castillo from third base.

Right-hander Andrés Sotillet tossed a scoreless eighth, allowing just one hit in the inning.

Cancel earned his second RBI of the game in the ninth with a single off the right field wall to score first baseman Logan Porter and give the Omaha another run of insurance.

In his fourth appearance of the week, right-hander Ándres Núñez earned his second save of the season, retiring all three batters he faced in the bottom of the ninth to secure the 4-2 win.
