New Orleans second baseman Isan Díaz , designated hitter Austin Dean and first baseman Peter O'Brien combined for seven hits while driving in all ten runs of the Baby Cakes' 10-0 shutout win over the Omaha Storm Chasers on Sunday afternoon at The Shrine on Airline.

Diaz (3-5, R, 2B, 4 RBI) was joined by CF Monte Harrison (3-3, 3 R, 2 BB) in recording a game-high three hits. LF Harold Ramirez (2-4, R, 2 2B) joined Dean (2-5, 2 R, 2B, HR, 3 RBI) and O'Brien (2-3, R, HR, 3 RBI, BB) in posting two knocks apiece.
Diaz also got the scoring started with an RBI single in the opening frame, while Dean doubled the advantage to two with a solo shot to left in the fourth. Both would later bring across runs as part of a five-run seventh punctuated by O'Brien's three-run blast to left-center, making it a 7-0 margin, before driving in one run each in the eighth to cap the scoring outburst.
Omaha 3B Kelvin Gutierrez (2-4) and DH Cheslor Cuthbert (2-4) each collect a pair of hits in the defeat. Cuthbert's multi-hit effort extended his hit streak to 12 games, while Gutierrez has now reached base in all 15 games played this year with the Storm Chasers.
Three New Orleans hurlers combined for the shutout win, with starter Dustin Beggs (7.0 IP, 7 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K) earning the win in his Triple-A debut. Baby Cakes relievers José Quijada (1.0 IP) and R.J. Alvarez (1.0 IP) each fired a scoreless frame in support. Omaha starter Jonathan Dziedzic (5.0 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 3 K) suffered the defeat.
The two teams are scheduled to finish their four-game road series on Monday evening at 6:35pm CT. RHP Arnaldo Hernandez (0-1, 6.32) is anticipated to get the nod for the Storm Chasers, while New Orleans is expected to send RHP Zac Gallen (1-0, 0.48) to the hill.
Following that contest and a scheduled off day, Omaha returns to Werner Park on Wednesday, April 24. First pitch that evening versus the Memphis Redbirds is scheduled for 6:35pm CT.
