COLUMBUS, Ohio – After taking the first four games of the series, the Storm Chasers dropped back-to-back games, losing Sunday’s series finale 4-1 at Huntington Park on Sunday. Omaha (69-72) took the series 4-2 and the season series 11-7.

Columbus (80-59) got the spot start from Tim Herrin who pitched a perfect first three innings before coming out of the game. He struck out the final seven batters that he faced.

The Clippers tallied the game’s first run with a solo home run in the third inning off the bat of Will Brennan.

Center fielder Dairon Blanco reached on an error to start the fourth before coming in to score on an RBI single from right fielder Brewer Hicklen. The Storm Chasers loaded the bases with one out but couldn’t add more runs, leaving the score tied 1-1.

In the sixth, Columbus tacked on three more runs. Nolan Jones started the scoring in the inning before David Fry hit a two-RBI double to put the Clippers ahead 4-1.

The Storm Chasers retired the final seven Clippers hitters but couldn’t add any more runs, dropping the series finale 4-1.
