Storm Chasers Homestand Highlights: June 21-24

The Omaha Storm Chasers are back at Werner Park starting on Thursday, June 21 to begin a four-game homestand against the Oklahoma City Dodgers. The Cazadores de Tormentas will play the Cielo Azul de Oklahoma City in the second of the organization's four Copa de la Diversion contests at Werner

The Omaha Storm Chasers are back at Werner Park starting on Thursday, June 21 to begin a four-game homestand against the Oklahoma City Dodgers. The Cazadores de Tormentas will play the Cielo Azul de Oklahoma City in the second of the organization's four Copa de la Diversion contests at Werner Park (June 21) to start the homestand. Former Omaha Royals infielder and current MLB Network analyst Harold Reynolds will also be in attendance the next night with a Mystery Ball Auction and Hy-Vee Friday Fireworks spectacular (June 22), followed by a Rosenblatt Stadium Replica Giveaway for the first 2,000 fans (June 23). The homestand ends with the next Pre-Game Play Catch on the Field on Johnny Rosenblatt Baseball Day (June 24).

Thursday, June 21 (7:05pm) vs. Cielo Azul de Oklahoma City

  • Cazadores de Tormentas versus Cielo Azul de Oklahoma City presented by Boot Barn: the Omaha Cazadores de Tormentas take the field for the second of four "Copa De La Diversion" games at Werner Park, in addition to Hispanic themed promotions throughout the night.
  • Thirsty Thursday: the weekend starts early with drink specials including $2 Budweiser, Bud Light, Busch Light and Estrella Jalisco beers, as well as $1 small Pepsi products.

Friday, June 22 (7:05pm) vs. Oklahoma City Dodgers
  • Harold Reynolds Appearance presented by Atlas MedStaff: former Omaha Royals player and current MLB Network analyst Harold Reynolds will be in attendance to sign autographs and throw out a ceremonial first pitch on Friday evening thanks to Atlas MedStaff.
  • Omaha Golden Spikes Flashback Friday Jersey Series presented by First National Bank: as part of the Storm Chasers' celebration of the 50th season in franchise history, players and coaches will be partying like it's 1999 with special Omaha Golden Spikes uniforms in commemoration of that franchise's period in history from 1999-2001.
  • Mystery Ball Auction: Chasers Charities presents its first Mystery Ball Auction of the season. For $30 fans can purchase a baseball signed by a former Storm Chasers, Royals or MiLB player, with all proceeds going to Chasers Charities. The identity of the signature will not be revealed until after the fan purchases the baseball. Fans may also purchase two baseballs for $50.
  • Block 16 Pop Up Stand: Foodies rejoice! Popular Omaha restaurant Block 16 will have a pop-up stand at Werner Park near the Hy-Vee Pavillion for a special one-night only event while supplies last!
  • Boy Scout Night: Boy Scout troops will circle the field during a special pre-game ceremony, while scouts will also campout on the Werner Park outfield and watch a movie on the videoboard after the game.
  • Hy-Vee Friday Fireworks: the night ends with a bang thanks to a Hy-Vee Friday Fireworks show following the Storm Chasers' contest.

Saturday, June 23 (7:05pm) vs. Oklahoma City Dodgers
  • Rosenblatt Stadium Replica Giveaway presented by Fairfield Inn & Suites Papillion: the first 2,000 fans through the gates of Werner Park at 6:00pm CT will receive a late 1990's Rosenblatt Stadium Replica to commemorate the ballpark that the Omaha franchise played its first 42 seasons in and hosted the College World Series through 2010.
  • Omaha Golden Spikes Jerseys presented by Union Pacific: Storm Chasers players and coaches will be wearing Omaha Golden Spikes jerseys to commemorate the franchise's period from 1999-2001.
  • Bands & Brews: the third of five Bands & Brews dates at Werner Park begins when gates open at 6:00pm. Enjoy 90-cent Bud Ice drinks at the Bud Light Downdraught with live music from Johnny Knucklehead and more for the first hour leading up to first pitch.

Sunday, June 24 (2:05pm) vs. Oklahoma City Dodgers
  • Parentsavvy.com Pre-Game On-Field Catch: fans will be able to play catch on the Werner Park outfield (weather pending) prior to the game starting when gates open. Fans will be able to play catch for approximately 30 minutes after gates open at 12:45pm.
  • Johnny Rosenblatt Baseball Day: as part of the festivities for the inaugural Johnny Rosenblatt Baseball Day at Werner Park, former Omaha Royals players Chris Hatcher, Ken Harvey and Dave Ullery will be in attendance, in addition to members of the Rosenblatt family, including Steve Rosenblatt, as well as longtime Rosenblatt Stadium groundskeeper Jesse Cuevas.
  • U.S. Bank Family FUNday: Clowns and balloon artists will be out on the concourse for U.S. Bank Family FUNday, in addition to Wildlife Encounters.
  • Hy-Vee Canned Food Sunday: fans who bring two Hy-Vee brand canned good items to be donated to Heartland Hope Mission will receive a free McDonald's Berm ticket to that day's game.
  • Hardee's Kids Run The Bases: Kids ten and under will be able to run the bases following the Storm Chasers' matchup, with Parentsavvy.com Lil' Chasers Members able to be first in line.
