The Omaha Storm Chasers' series-ending matchup versus the New Orleans Baby Cakes on Thursday evening was cancelled due to inclement weather. The two teams began the contest on time and were tied at 4-4 through three innings before rain fell.

Per Pacific Coast League rules, since the two teams were not able to resume the game and do not face each other again in 2019, the game was cancelled and all statistics accrued during the game do not count.

After New Orleans DH JT Riddle led off the last of the first with a solo shot, Omaha SS Adalberto Mondesi evened the contest with a run-scoring double in the third, followed by a three-run blast from RF Erick Mejia that gave the Storm Chasers a 4-1 advantage. The Baby Cakes answered with a three-spot of their own in the last of third courtesy of SS Yadiel Rivera's RBI double and LF Austin Dean's two-run homer to even the game. Shortly thereafter, however, the rain fell and wiped the slate clean.

The Storm Chasers are set to finish off their 11-game road trip with a three-game series versus the Memphis Redbirds, beginning on Friday evening. First pitch at AutoZone Park is scheduled for 7:05pm CT.

Omaha returns to Werner Park to wrap up the 2019 season with a seven-game homestand from August 26 through September 2, hosting the Nashville Sounds and Round Rock Express. First pitch of the series opener on Monday, August 26 is set for 7:05pm CT.

Tickets for that game and all remaining Storm Chasers home contests can be purchased online at, or by calling the Werner Park Ticket Office from noon until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at (402) 738-5100.
