The 2015 All-Star Game between the Pioneer League All-Stars and Northwest League All-Stars will be held tonight at 7:00 PM PT at Avista Stadium in Spokane, Washington.

Orem had four of their players selected to the roster, Michael Pierson, Taylor Ward, Joe Gatto, and Kyle Survance Jr. Each of the players are grateful for the opportunity to be selected as 2015 All-Stars and look forward to the opportunity to represent the Pioneer League and the Orem Owlz.

Pierson and Ward have been selected to get the start for the Pioneer League at third base and catcher respectively. Survance was also selected as a starter in the outfield, however, he will be out of the lineup with an injury. He will be ready for action when the Owlz return.

The Pioneer League roster is full of talent as nine of the players were drafted in the top 10 rounds of the 2015 MLB Amateur Draft. One of those nine is Orem Owlz catcher, Taylor Ward, who was the Angels' first-round pick in June. He will enter the game batting .349, with 2 homeruns, and 19 RBIs in 109 at-bats this season. Ward is also one of the top defensive catchers in the league.

Pierson will enter tonight's game leading the Pioneer League in batting average (.395) and runs scored (40). He is also a top defensive player, leading the league in double plays turned by a third baseman (9).

The Angels' number four prospect, Joe Gatto, will be a reserve for the Pioneer League coming out of the bullpen tonight. As the ace for the Orem Owlz, this will be something different for him to experience. He will enter tonight's game leading the Pioneer League in starts (9) and with 30 strikeouts in 39 and 1/3 innings.

The Orem Owlz congratulate all those who were named as 2015 All-Stars.
