The Sandman added to Big Time Wrestling

The Missoula Osprey in conjunction with Big Time Wrestling announced today five-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion, The Sandman has been added to the Big Time Wrestling show that already includes WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, set for Ogren Park Allegiance Field on Friday, June 9.

The five times that Sandman held the ECW Heavyweight Championship is a record for that brand. The Sandman regularly wields a kendo stick on his way to the ring for which he refers to as his Singapore cane.

Also known as the "King of Extreme," The Sandman feuded with Big Time Wrestling stars from 2016 Tommy Dreamer and Cactus Jack (Mick Foley) during his years in ECW. He also teamed with Dreamer when ECW was absorbed by WWE at ECW's One Night Stand pay-per-view event, eventually losing the match to the Dudley Boyz when Dreamer was powerbombed through a flaming table.

The Sandman is also a one-time ECW Tag Team Champion and was inducted to the Hardcore Hall of Fame in 2007. He won the TNA Hard 10 Tournament in 2003 identifying him as the most hardcore competitor in the brand.

Besides ECW, The Sandman, who uses his finishing move, the White Russian Leg Sweep, spent time in WCW, TNA and WWE.

Big Time Wrestling entertained fans of all ages at their shows in Missoula the last two years. Those events featured the likes of Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Mick Foley, Tommy Dreamer, "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner, Billy Gunn, Chris Masters, "Nasty Boy" Brain Knobbs, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Gangrel and Scotty 2 Hotty.
