Rain halts Osprey after three innings in Grand Junction

GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. - Trailing 9-3 entering the fourth inning, play was stopped at Suplizio Field due to heavy rain and unmanageable field conditions. The Osprey fell behind 9-0 before a three-run homer from Joey Rose in the third cut the deficit to six runs.
Tuesday's game will be resumed on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. with the Osprey trailing the Rockies 9-3 in the top of the fourth inning with no outs and the bases empty. The game will be played to its nine-inning completion, per league rules.
Thirty minutes after the completion of Tuesday's suspended contest, the Osprey and Rockies will engage in a seven-inning game to account for Wednesday's originally scheduled ballgame.
