Wrestling icon Booker T headlines Big Time Wrestling

The Missoula Osprey in conjunction with Big Time Wrestling announced today that World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Famer Booker T will headline Big Time Wrestling live at Ogren Park Allegiance Field on Friday, June 9. The gates will open at 5:30 p.m. with a meet and greet scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and the first match slated for 8 p.m.

Booker T held 35 championships between World Championship Wrestling (WCW), World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment (WWF/E) and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).

Booker T is the most decorated wrestler in WCW history having held 21 titles including a record six WCW World Television Championships and eleven WCW World Tag Team Championships, ten of which were as one half of the tag team, Harlem Heat with his brother Stevie Ray. Booker T was the final WCW World Heavyweight Champion and WCW United States Heavyweight Champion under the WCW banner prior to the company being purchased by WWE.

In all, Booker T is a six-time world champion, having won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship five times and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship once. Booker T also gained notable success as a tag team wrestler, being a 15-time world tag team champion (WCW - 11 times, WWF/E - three times and TNA - once). Booker T was the King of The Ring tournament winner in 2006, the sixteenth Triple Crown Champion and the ninth Grand Slam Champion in WWE history. As the ninth and final Triple Crown Champion in WCW, Booker T is one of only four men to achieve both the WWE and WCW Triple Crowns.

Most recently, Booker T served as general manager of SmackDown for about a year before moving into a commentator's role for other WWE programming. He has appeared on twenty-seven video games and announced his candidacy to run for mayor of Houston in 2019.

Tickets for the show go on sale on Tuesday, January 31 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at the MSO Hub, located at 140 N Higgins in downtown Missoula, by phone at (406) 543-3300 and online at MissoulaOsprey.com.

Big Time Wrestling entertained fans of all ages at their shows in Missoula the last two years. Those events featured the likes of Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Mick Foley, Tommy Dreamer, "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner, Billy Gunn, Chris Masters, "Nasty Boy" Brain Knobbs, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Gangrel and Scotty 2 Hotty.
