The Orem Owlz tied a season high of runs allowed in an 18-8 loss against the Grand Junction Rockies at Suplizio Field in Grand Junction.

Jo Adell extended his team-best hit streak to nine games, while Brandon Marsh came away with his 13th multi-hit game of the season in a 2-5 performance.

The Owlz began the night with a two-run lead, when Ryan Vega brought home Jo Adell on a sarifice fly in the first inning that made the score 1-0 Orem.

Julio Garcia then scampered home from third base after Rockies shortstop Kennard McDowell committed one of four Grand Junction errors.

Ryan Vega led the way for Orem with two runs batted in, both coming on sacrifice flies.

The Owlz' starter Cole Duensing tied a season high by allowing eight earned runs, now in back-to-back starts vs. Grand Junction, suffering his team-leading fourth loss of the season.

Every pitcher who came in for the Owlz gave up at least three runs with the exception of Jeremy Beasley, who faced four batters and retired all of them to end the game for Orem.

The loss drops Orem to 42-22-1 on the season, and 16-11 in the second half of the season, three games behind the Ogden Raptors for second place in the Pioneer League South standings.

The Owlz will play their next four games of the season at Lindquist Field, as they begin four straight games against the Raptors tomorrow night.
