Day Five: Uncle Slam Spotted Car Shopping at Lindsay Lexus of Alexandria
This week, leading up to the unveiling of the rejuvenated Uncle Slam tomorrow afternoon at Wegmans in Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center, the Potomac Nationals have chronicled Slam's whereabouts in Northern Virginia with help from tips provided by P-Nats official sponsors and community partners.
The new Uncle Slam had a busy week, making stops at the Official Gym of the Potomac Nationals, Gold's Gym Lake Ridge to continue his workout program, The All American Steakhouse for a steak dinner, Uncle Julio's for some fine Mexican cuisine, bluberi for a delicious frozen yogurt, and Lake Ridge Florist to pick up bouquets of flowers for his many valentines.
Friday morning, Uncle Slam was spotted doing some car shopping at Lindsay Lexus of Alexandria located at 3410 King Street in Alexandria, VA.
It is unknown whether Slam is in the market for a new or used Lexus, but he was seen speaking with a Lindsay Lexus sales representative about Lindsay's various monthly specials including the $750 Lexus Military Reward Program since Uncle Slam has plenty of military friends.
P-Nats front office officials report that Uncle Slam was very impressed with the beautiful, spacious showroom at Lindsay Lexus as well as their friendly, helpful sales staff. Slam is hopeful that he will find his next ride at a Lindsay Automotive dealership.
The revamped Uncle Slam will be unveiled Saturday afternoon in a special event at Wegmans from 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
Slam will interact with Nationals fans, sign autographs, and show off his new look.
Uncle Slam's inflatable bounce house will be set up outside Wegmans for children to play in, and a coloring station will be set up to the backdrop of balloons.
P-Nats staff members will be on hand to distribute 2013 pocket schedules, season ticket and mini plan information, as well as Uncle Slam's Kids Club sign-up forms. When kids participate in Slam's MVP Kids Club package, they receive a courtesy Uncle Slam Piggy Bank presented by: TD Bank.
Be sure to catch Uncle Slam's 2013 debut on Opening Night, April 5th as the P-Nats host the defending Carolina League Champion, Lynchburg Hillcats (Atlanta Braves) at 7:05pm.
