Baldino's Lock & Key Keys to the Homestand: May 1st - May 6th

The Potomac Nationals are back at Pfitzner Stadium starting Tuesday, May 1st for a six-game homestand! This homestand features both the first bobblehead giveaway and jersey auction of the season, combined with a Kentucky Derby celebration, Cinco de Mayo festivities and post-game fireworks; Kids Day Sunday with a t-shirt giveaway; '90s Night with Thursday Cheers, and a celebration of the Star Wars franchise on May the 4th Be with You. The P-Nats will play two Northern Division opponents during the homestand- the Wilmington Blue Rocks (Kansas City Royals) for a three-game set, followed by the Salem Red Sox (Boston) for another three-game series.

Tuesday, May 1st
First pitch: 7:05pm                  Gates open: 6pm

• Deuces Wild Tuesday: $2 grandstand tickets, $2 player-performance based concessions specials and $2 Wild Card concessions specials, all while supplies last
• $2 grandstand tickets can only be purchased on the day of the game

Wednesday, May 2nd
First pitch: 7:05am                  Gates open: 6pm

• Winning Wednesday: Nine Innings of Winning: one lucky fan will win a prize each inning; Guaranteed Win: if the P-Nats win, P-Nats fans can redeem their ticket for one of equal value to the next Wednesday home game (5/16)
• Cash Dogs: a select number of hot dogs will be wrapped with cash; purchase one (or several) for an opportunity to win
• Baseball Bingo: fans can pick up a card at Fan Assistance on their way in for a chance to get a bingo and win a prize

Thursday, May 3rd
First pitch: 7:05pm                  Gates open: 6pm

• Thursday Cheers: dollar drink specials during the game
• College Night Pfitz Parties: cornhole, water pong and trivia in the brand-new Pfitzner Stadium Party Zone
• '90s Night: fans can purchase a $5 grandstand ticket if they come wearing a fanny pack; there will be glow in the dark ring toss in the Party Zone; fans can guess how many gumballs are in the container at Fan Assistance to win a prize; there will be a '90s themed photo booth set up on the concourse; plus there will be '90s music throughout the game

Friday, May 4th
First pitch: 7:05pm                  Gates open: 6pm

• May the Fourth Be With You: A Nod to the Star Wars Franchise: celebrate Star Wars Day and all the films in the franchise; any fan who dresses up can purchase a discounted grandstand ticket for $5; the P-Nats will raffle off two team-signed (one by the P-Nats, the other by the Salem Red Sox) lightsabers; Cantina Band music will be playing at the Cantina in the café area; Star Wars related prizes will be awarded during the game
• Cancer Survivor Night: Sentara will honor cancer survivors at the ballpark
• Post-game Kids Run the Bases, presented by Glory Days Grill
• Pre-game Band in the Café Area: Rodney Miller Band will be performing for fans

Saturday, May 5th
First pitch: 6:35pm                  Gates open: 5pm

• Kentucky Derby Day Celebration: come watch the Kentucky Derby in the brand-new Pfitzner Stadium Party zone pre-game; any fan who dresses up or wears a fancy hat can receive a discount at the National Mall Team Store. Also, the ballpark will be divided up into nine sections representing nine of the top contenders in the Kentucky Derby. Each of the nine P-Nats players in the batting order will then be assigned one of those horses/sections. The P-Nats player that steals the most bases and scores the most runs combined will win their section a free ticket to a future P-Nats game excluding July 4th, which fans can pick up on their way out of the ballpark at the end of the night. Additionally, there will be a hat competition on the field during the game and if any fan comes wearing a horse head, they will receive a free ticket voucher for a future P-Nats game, excluding July 4th.
• Stephen Strasburg Jockey Bobblehead Giveaway, presented by Sentara (first 1,250 fans): this one-of-a-kind bobblehead depicts Strasburg riding a horse dressed like a jockey
• Kentucky Derby Day Jersey Auctionpresented by Special Olympics Virginia: these jerseys, which prominently feature a horse, will be auctioned off via a silent auction during the game, with proceeds benefitting Special Olympics Virginia. The auction begins once gates open at 5pm and will run through the last out of the sixth inning. Winners will be able to take a photo post-game with the player or coach who wore and autographed the jersey.
• Milford Meadow Farms will be at the ballpark, offering horse/pony rides for $5 each
• Horse Picking Window: Fans will have a chance to either select the winner, the Exacta Box (winner and second place), or the Trifecta (winner, second place, and third place). If you enter the "pick the winner contest," and the horse you chose wins the Kentucky Derby, you win one ticket to any remaining P-Nats home game, outside of July 4th. If you enter the Exacta Box competition, and your selections finish first and second in the Kentucky Derby, you will get the prize for the "winner contest" plus a P-Nats bobblehead! If you enter the Trifecta competition, and your selections finish in first, second, and third, you get the prizes from the "winner contest" and "Exacta Box" as well as a P-Nats autographed item! Note: Each fan can enter only one of the three contests, and can enter only once.
• Cinco de Mayo: food and drink specials will be running throughout the game, there will be a piñata in the Kids Zone for kids to try to break, plus guess how many beans are in the jar at fan assistance to win a prize
• Post-game Fireworks, presented by WTOP, set to mariachi music
• Post-game Kids Run the Bases, presented by Glory Days Grill
• Pre-game Band in the Café Area: Just Wanna Play will be performing for fans

Sunday, May 6th
First pitch: 1:05pm                  Gates open: Noon

• Victor Robles "Little League" T-Shirt Giveaway, presented by Extreme Custom Collision (first 500 kids and first 500 adults): wear a t-shirt with the Washington Nationals' top prospect on it! The shirt has an illustration of OF Victor Robles in the style of the popular Backyard Baseball game on the front and his name and number with the P-Nats on the back
• Superhero Day: both superheroes and villains are invited out to Pfitzner Stadium; there will be a costume contest for both best Superhero and best Villain; there will be superhero prizes handed out throughout the game; fans can take a picture at the photo station with the Hulk, Superman, Batman, Spiderman and Wonder Woman. Additionally, each P-Nats player in the batting order will be a superhero for the day, and the ballpark will be divided up into nine sections, one for each of the superheroes. If a superhero hits a homerun, that section will win a free ticket to a future P-Nats game excluding July 4th, which fans can pick up on their way out of the ballpark.
• Touch a Bus presented by PRTC: buses will be outside of Pfitzner Stadium for kids to explore
• Reading Program Day: students who have participated in Uncle Slam's Reading Program will be recognized for their achievements in a pre-game parade
• Kids Day Sunday:
  • Post-game Kids Run the Bases, presented by Glory Days Grill
  • Kids Exclusive Post-Game Player Autograph Signing: Kids 12 & under can receive autographs from two P-Nats players in the café area after the game
  • Kids Eat Free: the first 250 kids 12 & under will receive a free drink and hot dog
  • Face Painting: kids can have their face painted by Facing Angels in the concourse (charge applies)
  • Military Appreciation Jerseys, presented by Reality Realty: the P-Nats will wear these on select games throughout the season to recognize local military members and to thank them for all that they do for our country
  • Virginia529 Super Saver Sunday: show your Virginia529 Smart Savers Club Card at the ticket office to receive two free grandstand tickets to the game
