Woodbridge, VA-The Potomac Nationals are excited to host "The Mighty Ducks 25th Anniversary Night" presented by: Paxton Companies, and welcome film actor, Matt Doherty, A.K.A. Lester Averman from The Mighty Ducks movie franchise to Pfitzner Stadium on Super Saturday, July 22nd as the P-Nats battle the Lynchburg Hillcats (Cleveland Indians) at 6:35pm.

Gates to The Pfitz will open at 5:00pm for The Mighty Ducks-inspired festivities.

As part of the Nationals' tribute to the uber-popular family film, Doherty will sign free autographs during two signing sessions and take pictures with P-Nats fans from approximately 5:30pm to 8:00pm.

Doherty will throw out a ceremonial first pitch at approximately 6:20pm.

Signatures from Doherty will be limited to one autograph per person.

A Matt Doherty autograph line will form immediately once gates to Pfitzner Stadium open to the public.

The Potomac Nationals will sell 8"x10" photos of Doherty at his autograph station located on the ballpark concourse of The Pfitz while supplies last.

Fans are encouraged to bring any Mighty Ducks memorabilia or hockey equipment for Doherty to sign.

In addition, the P-Nats will give away one-of-a-kind "Mighty P-Nats" Lester Averman Bobbleheads with Removal Hockey Sticks to the first 1,250 fans courtesy of: Paxton Companies in attendance to

immortalize everyone's favorite trash-talker from The Mighty Ducks with a unique bobblehead likeness.

Furthermore, in honor of the 25th anniversary of The Mighty Ducks, P-Nats players and coaches will wear specialty "Mighty P-Nats"on-field jerseys. These commemorative jerseys were created in the image of The Mighty Ducks' hockey sweater jerseys from the film, with a special P-Nats twist.

The specialty commemorative Mighty P-Nats jerseys are sponsored by the National MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Society, and the on-field uniform tops will be up for silent auction on the stadium concourse.

After the game, P-Nats players and coaching staff members will sign the Mighty P-Nats jerseys and pose for pictures with the winning bidders.

All proceeds from the Mighty Ducks game-used, autographed jersey auction will benefit the National MS Society. The auction will run until the end of the 6th inning.

The P-Nats will pay homage to The Mighty Ducks all game long.

There's a great chance there will be live ducks along the walkways leading up to Pfitzner Stadium on Super Saturday to greet fans on hand for the event…since the ducks live in the pond right next to the stadium Home of the Potomac Nationals.

The P-Nats will take the field to begin the game in a "Flying V" formation made famous in the flick to honor the greatest play ever drawn up by Ducks Coach, Gordon Bombay!

A flock of fans will be able to show off their duck calls with a Quack Competition on the field during the game.

Train like a Mighty Duck with an in-game, on-field Egg Toss! Two teams will be selected to take part in the Egg Toss to test how soft their hands are.

Fans can practice their slapshots in the Kids Zone with a special Slapshot Station while the on-field Prince William County Recycling Program and RedLine Athletics competitions will both be hockey-themed.

During The Mighty Ducks 25th Anniversary Night, the P-Nats will also auction off a team-signed purple hockey helmet plus a Matt Doherty signed personalized Mighty P-Nats jersey, hockey stick, hockey puck, and 8"x10" photo.

The entire The Mighty Ducks DVD trilogy will also be given away as part of the in-game promotions on the night of the event.

On the outfield jumbo-tron video board, the best hits from the annals of National Hockey League and the best home plate collisions of Major League Baseball's past will pay tribute to all of the hard hits The Mighty Ducks took during their title run.

Fans can win free tickets to The Mighty Ducks 25th Anniversary Night with a Potomac Nationals and Duck Donuts co-sponsored social media contest.

Fans are encouraged to Tweet a picture of their best "duck face" to the Official Twitter of the Potomac Nationals, @PNats42, and the Twitter of Duck Donuts in Northern Virginia, @duck_donuts before Saturday's game, and the best photo submissions will win two (2) free grandstand tickets to the 6:35 pm game against the Hillcats. Fans must Tweet at both the P-Nats and Duck Donuts on Twitter with the hashtag #MightyDuckFace for your chance to win.

Movie clips and sound clips from The Mighty Ducks will add to the fun while headlining Mighty Ducks characters will appear in place of P-Nats' headshots and Lynchburg will be represented by members of the infamous Hawks roster and coaching staff.

Saturday also marks the third scout night of the season sponsored by: Virginia Virtual Academy as boys and girls and their parents from all around Northern Virginia will camp out and sleep over at The Pfitz.

Another Wegmans Night will feature Wegman-sponsored on-field promotions during the game.

Tennis Ball Toss sponsored by: Dicks's Sporting Goods and Onelife Fitness will follow the game.

Post-game fireworks presented by: WTOP will be sent into the night sky after Tennis Ball Toss.

Kids Run the Bases courtesy of: Glory Days Grill will take place after fireworks.

The Mighty Ducks movie will be played on the jumbo-tron video board for all scouts in attendance as they camp out on the diamond under the stars.

The P-Nats formally invite The Red, White, and Blue Faithful for The Mighty Ducks 25th Anniversary Night celebration.
