Notes: Served as a player/manager for four of the five seasons he was a part of the PCL...Won the PCL Championship with the Hollywood Stars in 1953...Also managed in the Major Leagues for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1956-57), Cleveland Indians (1958), Milwaukee Braves (1963-65) and Atlanta Braves (1966)...Served as the Texas League President from 1969 to 1975 and the President of Minor League Baseball from 1976 to 1978...Played in 597 Major League games for the Philadelphia Phillies (1940-42) and Brooklyn Dodgers (1943-48).
