Thursday night's 1-0 win ended a tight series between Palm Beach and Daytona in which all three games were decided by just one run.
The games lone run came in the bottom of the second inning off the bat of Stefan Trosclair, sending home Ryan McCarvel.
McCarvel was one of the five Cardinal's with a hit and now has at least one hit in six of his last seven games with a total of ten hits in that span.
Palm Beach had opportunities to score in the game but left the bases loaded on three separate occasions. Two of the three bases loaded situations ended with Brian O'Keefe grounding into a double play.
Alex Fagalde had a spectacular performance in his first game as a Cardinal. The newest Palm Beach pitcher started off the game with a first inning that lasted 25 pitches. After finding his groove Fagalde stayed on the mound for six innings allowing just two hits and striking out six batters.
Out of the bullpen, John Kilichowski faced two batters and allowed one hit and struck one Tortuga out.
Austin Sexton was next on the rubber for Palm Beach pitching one 2/3 innings, the righty went hitless and struck out two batters.
Bryan Dobzanski entered the game in the ninth inning, after two Daytona batters reached base the closer sealed the deal as he struck out the final batter of the game to earn his first save of the season.
