Littrell Named Player of the Month

JUPITER, Fla. - The Florida State League Player of the Month for July is Palm Beach Cardinals left-hander Corey Littrell. Litrell was selected by Minor League Baseball, and was one of the 16 winners that represent each league receiving an award from MiLB in recognition of this honor.

Littrell went 4-0 with a 0.91 ERA in five games to help claim this honor. He struck out 27 batters in 29.2 innings without walking a batter. The Cardinals were 5 - 0 during the month when he started on the mound.

The Cardinals acquired Littrell in a trade with RHP John Lackey and cash from the Boston Red Sox for RHP Joe Kelly and OF/1B Allen Craig on 7/31/2014.
