Palm Beach needed two late comebacks to overtake Ft. Meyers in win

It took two separate comeback attempts late in Monday's game vs. Ft. Myers, however it was enough in the end for the Palm Beach Cardinals as they stormed back for a 5-4 victory. Palm Beach was down 3-0 before Shane Billings' two-run double in the fifth inning to pull Palm Beach

It took two separate comeback attempts late in Monday's game vs. Ft. Myers, however it was enough in the end for the Palm Beach Cardinals as they stormed back for a 5-4 victory. 
Palm Beach was down 3-0 before Shane Billings' two-run double in the fifth inning to pull Palm Beach to within a run of Ft. Myers. 
The Cardinals tied up the game in the home half of the seventh on another big hit from Billings. 
It was a short lived lead as the visiting Miracle reclaimed the lead on a single that hit the first base bag in the eighth.
With two outs in the bottom half of the eighth, Kramer Robertson hit an go-ahead, two RBI double to right, his fourth hit of the game. 
It put the Cardinals up 5-4 and Will Latcham would not let the Miracle even sniff a comeback attempt of its own, retiring the ninth in order. Latcham would record his eighth save of the season. 
Four of Palm Beach's five runs were scored with two outs. Billings had three total htis in the game and saw his average rise to a team high .308. 
Jake Walsh went seven strong innings for the Cardinals, surrendering just three runs and six hits while striking out three.
Robbie Gordon earned his second victory of the season. 
Six different Cardinals recorded a hit in the win. 
The teams will play game two of a four game series on Tuesday at 6:30 PM.
