Hernandez and PawSox Shut Out Red Wings

The Pawtucket Red Sox blanked the Rochester Red Wings, 3-0 on Saturday afternoon to even their spring training record at 4-4-2. 

Chris Hernandez started and tossed 4 scoreless innings. The win went to Matty Ott (two scoreless) while the save went to Jose Valdez who worked the 8th and 9th innings with 3 strikeouts. 

The PawSox scored twice in the 2nd inning on three doubles from Alex Hassan, Heiker Meneses (RBI) and Scott Cousins (RBI). The Sox added the third and final run on two more doubles by Garin Cecchini and Brandon Snyder. 

The PawSox are off on Sunday before resuming action on Monday at the Norfolk Tides in Sarasota, FL.
