The Pawtucket Red Sox will host "A Taste of Spring," an Open House on Saturday, March 24, from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at McCoy Stadium. The free lunchtime event includes free ballpark fare, including your choice of hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, sausage, and McCoy's signature french fries. Fans can take swings in the batting cages, enjoy tours of the PawSox Hall of History, and partake in "special touches," such as holding real bats, gripping real baseballs, and wearing the actual gloves of Red Sox stars of the past.

Polar bear mascots Paws and Sox, as well as their friends Homer and Stitch, will entertain children, who can pose for photos, get autographs, and meet former PawSox and Red Sox star Dennis "Oil Can" Boyd.
Tours will also include the PawSox Clubhouse, the home and visitors' dugouts, the playing field (weather permitting), and historic exhibits in various coves. Fans can also wander at their leisure, enjoying the elaborate photographs, artifacts, and memorabilia on the PawSox Hall of History, typically open only to private suite guests.
"It's Spring Training for PawSox fans, especially our children," said PawSox President Dr. Charles Steinberg. "We hope that moms and dads will enjoy a hot dog or two and bring the whole family as we provide a 'Taste of Spring' and a taste of the forthcoming PawSox Baseball season."
The PawSox concession stand on the main concourse will be serving fans, all of whom will receive a $10 voucher good that day for their choice of hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, french fries, and even chicken tenders. They can also be used for free fountain drinks.
The grandstands will have some added color, as the PawSox will place balloons on seats that are still available for the 2018 season. The PawSox Box Office and the PawSox Baseball Store, replete with new merchandise for the new season, will both be open throughout the day. Again this year, tickets for children and seniors start at only $6, and for adults at $9.
This year the PawSox have added "Giveaways Every Friday Night" to their popular "Fireworks Every Saturday Night" promotion, introduced in 2017. In addition to 13 nights of fireworks - the most ever presented by the club - the PawSox will now have premium giveaways at every Friday night home game.
Bobbleheads featuring current Red Sox star Rafael Devers (July 28), our favorite football quarterback - the G.O.A.T. (July 13) - and Red Sox legend Mo Vaughn (August 17) headline the list. Replica jerseys of Pedro Martinez and Roger Clemens will be given away to fans on June 22 and July 27 respectively. A Nomar Garciaparra Gnome (aka a Gnome-ar Gnome) will be another popular item on August 3.
Pawtucket's home-opener at McCoy will take place on Friday, April 6 vs. Lehigh Valley at 7:05 pm.
