Recognizing that education is an equalizer in our diverse community, the PawSox created a program in 2016 to help children afford the cost of college. Also recognizing that the destructive temptations of adolescent life can take even the brightest students away from a path to success, the PawSox chose to award these scholarships to academically-talented, financially-challenged middle schoolers. As early as 8th grade, these young people know that their dreams are funded by the PawSox/Skeffington Charitable Foundation.
