We Resume Regular Programming - The Pawtucket Red Sox return to action after a well-deserved 3-day respite when they open a 4-game series tonight against the Syracuse Chiefs (AAA-Washington) at 7:05 pm at McCoy Stadium (live on YurView on COX). The PawSox and the last-place Chiefs play tonight & tomorrow both at 7:05 pm, Saturday at 6:15 pm, and Sunday at 1:35 pm. Incredibly, this is just one of four full home weekends remaining this season for the PawSox, but it will be jammed-packed with exciting events at McCoy. Tomorrow (Friday) is the G.O.A.T. Bobblehead give-away (of a certain future Hall of Fame QB) for the first 3,000 fans; Saturday starts with a Free Youth Clinic from 2:00 - 3:15 and ends with a post-game fireworks display to a musical Margaritaville Night theme; and Sunday is another Family FUNday afternoon at McCoy with the added bonus of an appearance by former PawSox and Red Sox pitcher Bronson Arroyo as he returns to help fans celebrate the 15th Anniversary of his Perfect Game at McCoy from August 10, 2003 vs. Buffalo.
Paws Needed a Pause - After 20 straight playing days between June 19 - July 8, the PawSox finally caught a breather with the welcome three-day All-Star break this Monday through Wednesday marking their first scheduled day(s) off since June 18. Tonight begins Pawtucket's descent into the final 52 regular-season games of 2018 (25 at home and 27 on the road). This season at the All-Star break the PawSox were 41-46 and in 5th-place (-10½ GB). Last year at the break (July 10-12, 2017) the Sox were 44-44 and in 4th-place (-10½ GB).
