Top of the Morning - The Pawtucket Red Sox and the Buffalo Bisons (AAA-Toronto) play the finale of their abbreviated 2-game series this morning at 11:05 am in the first of four morning games scheduled here at McCoy Stadium this season. The PawSox will be shooting for their second 2-game sweep this month. Their only series victory in May was a 2-game sweep at home vs. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on May 5 & 6. They have lost three other series and split another thus far this month. Their last series victory of more than two games came when they won 2 of 3 in Buffalo from April 27-29. Overall the PawSox are 4-6-2 in their first 12 series of the season.
Trying to Get Back to Even - The PawSox will be bidding for their 5^th straight home win today. A victory would return the PawSox (now 17-18) to the .500 mark. Monday night the Sox began this now 2-game set (and homestand) with a 6-5 victory in 10-innings over the Bisons as the Sox improved to 5-1 under the new extra inning rules by rallying for 2 runs in the bottom of the 10^th on an RBI double by Dan Butler and a GW RBI single by Tzu-Wei Lin. The victory was Pawtucket's 4^th in a row at home dating back to May 2 and then May 5 & 6 along with May 14. The Sox are 4-1 at McCoy in May.
