The Pawtucket Red Sox, ever in favor of love, will celebrate the engagement of Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez with a Red Sox-themed party Friday, April 12 at McCoy Stadium, to inaugurate the club's Legendary Fridays series this year. The PawSox, who will be hosting Syracuse at 6:05 pm on April 12, this year are celebrating "50 Years Together" with the Boston Red Sox.

Recognizing the memorable moments provided by the former Yankees slugger, and the pop and movie star who visited Fenway Park in a previous romance, the PawSox will recall the 15th anniversary of the historic 2004 season on this night-some of which featured A-Rod.
For those who recall the events of Saturday afternoon, July 24, 2004, which may have been the most important and most pivotal regular season game in the long and storied history of the Boston Red Sox, fans wearing Bronson Arroyo or Jason Varitek jerseys will be admitted free to Pawtucket's April 12th game against the New York Mets' Syracuse affiliate. Parents are encouraged to tell the tales of that memorable day to their children 12 and under-all of whom will also be admitted free.
The McCoy Stadium videoboard will show footage of that day and that game to help revive the memories.
Fans by the name of Jennifer will also be admitted for free (Yes... All "Jenny's from the block" showing valid RI identification will be granted free admission at the PawSox ticket office).
Recalling a fond memory of August 10, 2003, PawSox fans will also have the opportunity to touch and take pictures of the actual pitching rubber toed by Bronson Arroyo when he threw the most recent of the two perfect games in PawSox History. The artifact will be on display at the PawSox Fan Center presented by Vertikal6. (Fans wearing the jersey of the pitcher who threw the PawSox' first perfect game will be admitted free as well. As Yogi Berra said, "You can look it up.")
Former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow, who is expected to be playing with the Syracuse Mets, will walk up to Mariah Carey's greatest hits for the duration of his series at McCoy Stadium as a salute to one of J.Lo's greatest rivals.
Long-time Red Sox fan and Cambridge, MA native Ben Affleck has been cordially invited to throw out the game's Ceremonial First Pitch-for obvious reasons.
Ross-Simons, the official jeweler of the Pawtucket Red Sox, will be on hand to inspect fan's wedding rings, so that "nobody is fooled by the rocks that our PawSox fans got," to paraphrase Pawtucket's favorite "Jenny from the Block."
Tickets for all PawSox games, including the 2019 home-opener on April 11, are on sale at pawsox.com, by phone at (401) 724-7300, or at the McCoy Stadium Box Office
