Jupiter, FL - Palm Beach (61-49, 21-22) took advantage of a five run third to grab a 5-4 victory from Fort Myers (60-52, 27-17).Jake Woodford got the start and picked up his first win since June 19th at Charlotte. He tossed five innings, giving up one run on three hits,

Jupiter, FL - Palm Beach (61-49, 21-22) took advantage of a five run third to grab a 5-4 victory from Fort Myers (60-52, 27-17).
Jake Woodford got the start and picked up his first win since June 19th at Charlotte. He tossed five innings, giving up one run on three hits, while walking two and striking out one.
Fort Myers scored first in the top of the third, Tanner English hit a one-out ground-rule double to left for the Miracles' first hit of the game. Brandon Lopez drove English in for the first run of the game with a two out single to take a 1-0 lead that did not last long.
Palm Beach came up in the bottom of the third and Andy Young got things started with a single. Jeremy Martinez followed it up with a single of his own bringing Jose Martinez to the plate. Jose Martinez laid down a perfect bunt to advance both runners. Eddie Del Rosario walked Thomas Spitz to load the bases bringing Casey Grayson to the dish, Rosario walked him on four straight pitches to allow the tying run to come across. Chris Chinea drove in Martinez with a single and loading the bases once more for Leobaldo Pina and a 2-1 lead. Pina grounded into a fielder's choice that got Chinea at second, but allowed Spitz to make it 3-1. Turgeon came to the plate and hit a double to drive in Grayson, as he was going to second, the right fielder threw to second base getting Pina to home for the 5-1 lead.
Estarlin Arias took over for Woodford and gave up a three-run home run to Brent Rooker to make it a one run game once again at 5-4. Arias pitched a scoreless seventh to hold the 5-4 lead.
Brady Bowen and Eric Carter each tossed a scoreless inning to hold onto the 5-4 lead and grab the win from Fort Myers.
