The Pensacola Blue Wahoos announced on Thursday that Pensacola's Got Talent, an annual celebration of the immense talent in Pensacola, will be held on Saturday, March 9 at Blue Wahoos Stadium from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. At the event, individuals and groups can audition to sing the National Anthem at a Blue Wahoos game in 2019, try out to perform their talent before a game, and show off their skills to be considered for a position with the team's Flight Squad in-game entertainment staff.
"Pensacola's Got Talent is one of my favorite days of the year," Blue Wahos creative services manager Adam Waldron said of the event. "We're always blown away by the talent possessed by the citizens of Pensacola. From great singers to talented actors, musicians to magicians, even hula-hoopers and jugglers, we've seen so many unique and creative performances over the years and can't wait to see more this year."
Performance slots are limited and all interested participants must call the Blue Wahoos at (850)-934-8444 in advance to register for free. While a primary function of the event is to secure National Anthem singers for the 2019 season, all talents are invited to perform at Pensacola's Got Talent, and the team will be actively looking for energetic entertainers with unique talents and the ability to bring a character to life to join the team's Flight Squad and provide in-game entertainment to fans throughout the season.
The Blue Wahoos will open the 2019 season, their first as an affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, on Thursday, April 4 in Mobile against the BayBears before playing their home opener on Wednesday, April 10 against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.
