Final Weekend of 2021 Season Canceled for Wahoos and Trash Pandas

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – September 18, 2021 MADISON, Alabama – Following testing and contact tracing within the Rocket City Trash Pandas organization, Saturday and Sunday's games at Toyota Field between the Rocket City Trash Pandas and Pensacola Blue Wahoos have been canceled. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – September 18, 2021

MADISON, Alabama – Following testing and contact tracing within the Rocket City Trash Pandas organization, Saturday and Sunday's games at Toyota Field between the Rocket City Trash Pandas and Pensacola Blue Wahoos have been canceled.

The cancellations bring an end to Pensacola's 2021 season, finishing with a record of 57-54. This season was Pensacola's fifth consecutive season with a record over .500. It does, however, end Pensacola's four-year postseason run.

The two clubs, while adhering to Major League Baseball’s health and safety protocols, have determined the best course of action for the safety of players and coaches was a cancellation of the remaining games.

Blue Wahoos baseball will return on April 8th, 2022 at Blue Wahoos Stadium for a three-game set against the Biloxi Shuckers. For the entire 2022 schedule, please visit www.bluewahoos.com.
